Nicole Newman

Nicole has over 20 years of corporate generalist experience with a focus on technology transactions and privacy compliance. Nicole has represented clients of all sizes and level of maturity in the negotiation of technology transfer, licensing and procurement agreements, including Software as a Service (SaaS) and “cloud computing,” outsourcing, data processing, professional services, channel partners and strategic alliances, technology integration and distribution. 

Nicole gained a foundation of privacy compliance experience early in her legal career in financial services with a focus on consumer lending. She has leveraged this experience, and her privacy professional certifications for CIPP-US and CIPP-E, to advise clients regarding data security, privacy and e-commerce issues. This involves compliance with laws such as GDPR, GLBA, CCPA, PCI-DSS, as well as others. Nicole works with clients to evaluate business practices with a focus on privacy by design and to implement comprehensive privacy compliance programs. 

Nicole is a true New Englander and splits times between a suburb of Boston and the White Mountains of New Hampshire where she forces her family, including husband, two sons and daughter, to ski, hike, swim and spend time with her. Nicole is accompanied almost everywhere by three poodles (one standard, two minis). Her three children make her proud attending IU Kelley School of Business (Junior), University of South Carolina (Sophomore) and Beaver Country Day School (Sophomore, High School). 

Nicole is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, and Simmons College with both a B.A. and an M.B.A.
